The Art House shows the third film in its “Let’s Talk” monthly series, Frontline’s“Growing Up Trans,” on Thursday, March 16, at 6:30 p.m. at Hazen Union High School in Hardwick.
The film explores the transgender phenomenon, focusing on children coming to grips with their own sexual nonconformity. The film presents a frontier of possibilities and unknowns, and a minefield of high-stakes choices as adolescence arrives.
Facilitated conversations and refreshments will follow the film; the public is welcome, free.
The film series focuses on different socially relevant themes each month and is shown in collaboration with organizations such as Sterling College, AWARE, Heartbeet Lifesharing and Craftsbury Outdoor Center.
The spring lineup includes “National Bird” Thursday, April 13, at 6:30 p.m. at Sterling College Common House; “Maya Angelou” on Tuesday, April 25, at 6:30 p.m. at River Arts in Morrisville; and “The Local Motive” on Thursday, May 18, at 6:30 p.m. at Heartbeet Lifesharing.
